Allison Adams [ BS, BA ]


Allison Adams has served on the Board of the Nurses Educational Funds since 2006. She is a member of NEF’s Nominating Committee and Chair of the Website & Social Media Committee. She has over 25 years’ experience in the financial services industry. Ms. Adams is a Senior Director at CFA Institute, which has over 190,000 members in over 60 countries and is considered the gold standard credential for the financial industry. For most of her career, she was Managing Director and Group Publisher of the Institutional Investor Journals, including the prestigious Journal of Portfolio Management and Journal of Fixed Income. Ms. Adams supervised new product development for the division and oversaw every aspect of the business. While at Institutional Investor she also launched the Journal of Trading and Journal of Retirement.

Ms. Adams served as Chief Marketing Officer at Training and Consulting Consortium; a network of SME’s (subject matter experts) specializing in asset management, capital markets and banking offering training and consulting services to top financial institutions globally. Previously she was Chief Subscription Officer of Arizant (F/K/A Source Media), publisher of American Banker.

Ms. Adams was a Vice President at Bear Stearns on the High Yield Trading Desk. She started her career at Credit Agricole (f/k/a Credit Lyonnais). She studied Finance and French at the University of Rhode Island where she received a BS degree from the School of Business and a BA degree in French. Ms. Adams lives in New York City with her family.

The Allison Adams Wieczorek Scholarship Fund supports the critically important specialty of Maternal-Infant Pediatric Nursing. The scholarship was established following the successful launch of the Dr. Rita Reis Wieczorek scholarship fund, launched in 2022, named after Ms. Adams’ mother-in-law who was a pioneer in the field of maternal-infant and pediatric nursing.
