NEF Champions are donors with a deep commitment to NEF and its mission to promote leadership and health equity through scholarship support for professional nurses seeking master’s and doctoral degrees. By contributing $5,000 or more, donors join NEF’s Circle of Champions are listed below, and receive entry for two to be recognized at the organization's annual gala reception in the year of the gift. (Gala sponsorships are separate from the Champion program.)

Like NEF scholarships, Champion gifts are considered “in perpetuity” and can also be applied to a scholarship of choice. Champions who donate another $5,000 or more in the future will be recognized with an asterisk by their name to signify they are a repeat donor.

A donation by mail or donor-advised fund (DAF) is recommended to become an NEF Champion.

Nurses Educational Funds, Inc. (NEF) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization established by nurses for nurses in 1912, and since then, the organization has awarded over 1,500 scholarships to support the pursuit of advanced degrees in nursing.

NEF’s named scholarships, created with a minimum donation of $50,000, honor and memorialize nurse leaders, from Isabel Hampton Robb to Thelma Schorr to Susan Bowar-Ferres. 100% of donations help to keep NEF scholarships funded in perpetuity; organization expenses are covered by prudent management of NEF’s investments.
