Amity Heinbuck

Amity Heinbuck, NEF awardee, started her nursing career in 2007 after working as a medical Laboratory Technician for 8 years. After receiving her Associate Degree of Nursing she worked as a labor and delivery nurse, a career she loves. She is continuing in this area by pursuing a Master of Nursing for Nurse-Midwifery at Frontier Nursing University in Kansas. She has a passion for improving the health care women receive, especially during pregnancy, labor and delivery. Health promotion and prevention are key areas she plans to address in her clinical practice. Her plan is to continue this work internationally, helping improve maternity care in other countries.
