Jodi Feinberg is the recipient of the Isabel McIsaac Scholarship. She attended the University of Pennsylvania School of Nursing for her undergraduate degree, and is currently a graduate student at NYU Rory Meyers College of Nursing in the Adult Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner Program.

From an early age, she always wanted to help others, take care of people, and make the world a better place. As she became more exposed to science and healthcare, she knew a career in nursing would allow her to make a difference and apply her passion for innovation to improve healthcare on a larger scale.

In 2015, she received the inaugural University of Pennsylvania President's Engagement Prize, a generous grant for my proposal in home-based cardiac rehabilitation. Through this fellowship, she developed, implemented and evaluated a pilot model of adapted cardiac rehabilitation for the home care setting, to increase access to specialized cardiac services for homebound patients post-hospitalization. Jodi currently works as a nurse on the Cardio Vascular Special Care Unit at NYU Langone Health, and continues to dedicate her time to disseminating her pilot model of home-based cardiac rehabilitation. She also serves as treasurer on the executive board of the Advanced Nursing Student Organization at NYU Rory Meyers College of Nursing, and volunteers as a teacher assistant in English as a second language classes for young immigrant parents.

Jodi believes that this scholarship will empower her to prioritize improving care for geriatric patients with cardiovascular disease, focus on making a difference through community engagement, and accelerate her development into the healthcare leader that she aspires to become. Jodi is incredibly grateful to her scholarship donors, Nurses Educational Funds, Inc. for enabling her to pursue her lifelong dream of becoming an advanced practice nurse. With a passion for innovation, research, and patient care, enhanced with a Masters in Nursing, she intends to dedicate her career to making a difference for patients with cardiovascular disease on a larger scale.
