Kenneth Zeyak, NEF Scholarship winner, began his career in healthcare as a volunteer emergency medical technician with his local community ambulance service. In 1992 he graduated from St. Joseph Hospital Paramedic Institute in Lancaster, Pa. His initial position as a registered nurse was in a medical -surgical intensive care unit in 1997 and he  has been a critical care nurse for seventeen years. He is now in graduate school at Villanova University pursuing nurse anesthesia training. He volunteers on the emergency medical response team at his church and he and his wife are raising two very energetic boys - ages 6 and 8.
