Stephanie Gallo MS, FNP-BC is a recipient of the Columbia University Presbyterian Hospital School of Nursing Alumni Association, Inc./J. Margaret Ada Mutch Scholarship. She completed her Master of Science in Nursing at Columbia University and holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from New Jersey City University and a Bachelor of Science in Dietetics from the University of Delaware.
Currently, Stephanie is a clinical labor and delivery nurse at the Mount Sinai Hospital and a Columbia University clinical instructor in New York City. Stephanie is a graduate student at Columbia University School of Nursing in the Doctor of Nursing Practice program. Stephanie is committed to educating her laboring patients on physiological birth and ensuring her patients feel heard and respected during the crucial moments of childbirth.
Stephanie hopes to pursue a career in obstetrical and gynecologic health upon completion of her degree with an emphasis on shedding light on existing health inequities and assisting those affected by providing prenatal care to high-risk pregnant patients in underserved communities in Manhattan. Stephanie is dedicated to providing patients in predominantly Spanish speaking neighborhoods with the tools and resources needed to decrease current rates of maternal morbidity and mortality in New York City.
She is a member of the Association of Women's Health, Obstetric and Neonatal Nurses, New York State Nurses Association, Sigma Theta Tau Nursing Honor Society, and Alpha Delta Pi Sorority. Prior to her employment at Mount Sinai, Stephanie held a position at Hackensack University Medical Center as a medical-surgical and inpatient hospice nurse.

NEF’s Board of Directors is comprised of leaders from nursing, education, technology, and business communities. Members donate their time and talent to the advancement of the nursing profession.
