POSITION: Executive Director

Seeking a seasoned nurse leader to serve as its Executive Director.  The position leads a “virtual office” part time (16 hours/week) flexibly scheduled, and oversees the work of an Executive Assistant, IT support contractor and financial management firm, all serving on a part time basis. 
The Executive Director reports to the NEF Board of Directors through the president and Executive Committee.

Nurses Educational Funds, Inc is a 501(c)3 corporation whose sole purpose is to promote leadership and health equity through scholarship support for professional nurses seeking master’s and doctoral degrees in nursing education, practice, service, and research.
Applicants must possess the following qualifications and skills:

  • Master’s or doctoral degree in nursing with a minimum 5 years of leadership experience
  • Demonstrated success in fundraising and grant development
  • Familiarity with social media and marketing methods that improve image and increase visibility and contributions
  • Experience building collaborative relationships with diverse groups
  • Proficiency in analysis and data use to support decision making
  • Management experience of a not-for-profit foundation, board or association is preferred.
